I think it worked! I checked the "Omit post from All Posts" box. Thank you so much, stack! I felt really bad about my posts cluttering up the main BBS page.
Also, just to confirm—is my understanding of "Omit post from Gemini/Atom feed" correct? Is it a setting for people who are subscribed to my feed? For example, if I wanted to exclude a post even for my subscribers, I should check that box as well?

I think so. There is the BBS main feed, and there are subscription feeds that the users sign up for.
Just remember to name the person you want to communicate with with the @ prefix. Sometimes I forget and get no reply!
