Chip's Challenge (Completed Tile World Savefile)

(TWS, 62.8 KiB)

In 2020 I decided to give on of my childhood favorites another go, a game I never managed to complete as a kid--and on 2021-01-21, I finally did it.

This completed savefile was made in Tile World. All solutions were either mapped out by hand, recreated from memory, or figured out in real time. Some solutions are extremely slow; I would not recommend using this as a guide!

Pokemon Red Savefile

(SAV, 32.0 KiB)

I recently dumped my old Pokemon Red cartridge and have been playing it on an emulator, with the goal of completing the Pokedex as much as I could while not being able to trade. I also placed a restriction on myself that I could only use the game resources I had access to as kid: one guide book and knowledge about the MISSINGNO. glitch. 100 hours and many, many Rare Candies later, my quest is complete, sans choosing an "Eeveelution".

Some Super Monkey Ball 2 Replays

(RAW, 8.00 MiB)

This replay data dump comes from my old 1019-block first-party Gamecube memory card, purchased as part of a GameCube pack from Sam's Club in early 2002. Most of the replays are from 2013-2016 or 2020. The earliest replay dates all the way back to 2006-03-10!

Super Mario Advance 2 Savefile

(SAV, 8.00 KiB)

The original savefile dumped from the cartridge I purchased in 2002. This Super Mario World port for GameBoy Advance is the only game I can say I've 100-percent completed in every sense of the phrase: all exits cleared, all enemies beaten, my score and life count maxed out. (Not so for the Mario Bros port on the same cartridge, though!)
