Fractal Design R6 Repair
Despite this case being half a decade out of warranty, Fractal Design kindly sent me a replacement power button and cable - shipped internationally - for free.
I guess they recognised that it was a design flaw that caused the tiny piece of plastic inside the switch to break.
Still, that's pretty good service.
Fitting the button was a matter of pulling the front of the case off, unscrewing the switch/USB/jack panel, unscrewing the power button assembly, fiddling with the old broken power button until it popped out, then fitting the new one and threading the cable back to F_PANEL on the motherboard.
I took the opportunity to remove about a pint of dust using a vacuum cleaner.
