I realized I really like C-Kermit when ssh some remote computer. The thing is, if I want to download or upload a file, I can do it right inside that ssh connection like kermit -s ./something or kermit -r… Yes, it requires kermit being installed on both sides, but it works flawlessly and it's very convenient compared to doing the same thing via scp. And, of course, kermit is an ancient thing.
