posting to reticulum and gemini

I’m toying with a quick and dirty method to cross-post my notes to gemini and reticulum. I already do some fancy pandoc conversion to make the notes more easily processed by different formats (html, gmi, etc) so it’s not a huge leap to make the Markdown an easier and more easily conerted version that can be fed to md2mu.

I’m going to give it a shot anyway. I suppose I should change my use of language heretoforth to not refer to this as a pod anymore? I don’t know. Let’s see how it goes.

Oh, looks like md2mu is defunct and I should be using md2txt with the micron renderer. I wonder if I can even run that…

Somehow md2txt is running page headers through figlet and it looks stupid, so I’m going to temporarily use md2mu until I can figure out how I’m supposed to use md2txt.

Update: I’m now doing it, and using md2txt, but for some reason my node doesn’t seem to be announcing itself to the network? Or at least I don’t see it on my other connected devices.

Here’s the address for anyone viewing this from gemini: 162ca5ec21a73dc9dddcf73ae04d4433:/page/index.mu

Update: ugh, broken links all over the place! Turns out md2txt was NOT a drop-in replacement for md2mu. Now I have to find a workaround to something I’ve already made live :-(
