flow state

lately i've been having those days at work where i don't need to do anything but sit down at the computer and write code. those are good days. there's something really pleasing to my brain about entering that flow state. i've sought that out for as long as i can remember.

before science, i was really into drawing. almost went to art school. the flow state that you get into when you're deep into a drawing is incredibly similar to that when you're debugging or writing up a new piece of code. everything else ceases to exist (when you're deep into it, even awareness of the self it feels like) and you're just gliding on the text, or the texture you're laying down with the pen.
