Of course, I'm think about the gemini protocol. That is the subject of probably half of gempages that I have seen. I really like the idea of gemini. gopher is fun, but would be much more useful if it were secure. The gemini protocol is secure by default. :ThumbsUp: The tcp protocol of gemini is a good design. The problems arise when looking at the gemtext standard. The developer of gemini states that gemtext is supposed to be something more than gopher, but something less than http. Disappointment sets in for the users when they realize that is not true.

The developer of gemini has created a secure version of gopher. As long as can keep that it mind, it is a great experience. If you are looking for anthing better as far as the textual experience, prepare for dissapointment.
