Kim Stanley Robinson's drones

I can't find anything - but then search is borked these days. I have taken to wondering if anyone else is making the connection between Ukraine's refinement of the use of drones in warfare and the drones in Kim Stanley Robinson's Ministry for the Future.

iirc, in Ministry for the Future the plot point of the drones was that they shut down air travel for a while, but that segued into changing the nature of warfare. It feels like maybe the drones have arrived via a different route, i.e. through refinement in an actual war, but that that the beginnings of that change is here nonetheless.

I don't know that I would go so far as to say that Stanley Robinson is in the same league as William Gibson in the whole predicting the future thing, but this one feels pretty prescient.
