We are really I (Sloum[1]). I like to read. I like ebook production. I really really like the gpub format and think it makes ebook creation accessible to just about anyone in a way that they can understand the whole thing... not just run an automated converter/exporter and get what they get.

I had not been using gemini much for a bit, but I had been hacking on gpub stuff. I decided to get back on gemini and get some information up. Hopefully some of it is helpful.

This capsule does the following:

Hosts books in gpub format
Hosts a good bit of gpub reading software
Hosts information/notes about various ebook formats
Offers big catalogs of books in PDF and Epub as web links
Has some information about ereader hardware/firmware (mods, "secret" settings, etc)

I try to edit a book or few a year for Standard Ebooks[2]. I produce a speculative fiction magazine[3]. My partner is a writer. We spend a lot of our time reading, writing, and discussing books. So why not bring some of that to gemini?
