The child was getting frustrated with trying to play games on their computer, so I let them try this one. Nothing worked. But having uninstalled Steam, I still see some Steam thing popping up and hogging resources. I just killed it in the System Monitor. Is that a permanent killing of Steam? And is Steam really just malware pretending to be a game system?

Also yes it's really obnoxious to turn Steam off and keep it off. I have it set to "NOT run at startup", which is somewhere buried in the settings. · 2 days ago

More to the point: If wise, righteous, and virtuous living is the aim for a good life, to what extent is 'amusement' malware to the human soul? · 2 days ago
