Are any of you guys able to navigate around somewhere completely blind, for example your house? I’m wondering since around 2 years after a TBI, I began to develop an ability to walk around my house without requiring much sight (despite being known as the clumsy guy beforehand), and I began practicing a minimal amount, and now, 3 years after the injury I can pretty much go anywhere in the house blind, despite me having not much of a reason to.

I installed windows 98SE on an old Thinkpad 11e 3rd gen a few hours ago, I gotta say, it’ll never run this well with most of the specs unrecognised on other OSes lmao. Nah, realistically, some minimal Linux distros would be flawless on it, but I haven’t tried that yet so I’ll probably try tiny core Linux tomorrow and see how that goes.

What do you guys think about the MacBook neo that released I think 2 days ago? I see so many people complain on the surface web about it not fitting their use cases, even though those complaining are either gamers, use local AI a lot, use heavy software suites, or exclusively use Linux. Personally, I like that little laptop, although I don’t need it, since I’ve got a decade old Thinkpad 11e serving me very well for casual browsing and document writing.

I really should get some rest, but tomorrow I’m planning to customise a Debian install on an old Thinkpad 11e 3rd gen I have lying around, and kinda just make it into a geminispace browsing, email and notes machine, with the interface made to look like palm OS because why not lol. Wish me luck!

I frankly wish the standard web could gain an identities system like geminispace, like it was so easy to make this profile and I’d rather export my key if I wanna use a different device, as well as back up my keys, rather than faff around with MFA and accounts systems that want me to verify my face, email and phone number. It’s so much better here.
